Interceptor System Rehabilitation project
You’ll be hearing more about the Heart of the Valley Metropolitan Sewerage District (HOVMSD) in the months ahead as the District’s Interceptor System Rehabilitation project moves forward. It’s a major project for an important service that residents don’t often think about.
The 5.5-mile interceptor system has experienced significant corrosion of the concrete pipe and manhole structures. The pipe remains structurally sound and has plenty of capacity for future growth, but it needs rehabilitation. The project will install a new acid resistant liner to head off further damage.
